Digital Resources for Any Budget
Technology is always evolving. What may be new one day, could be outdated the next. So how do you decide on what will be the best long-term choice for your business?
A good start would be to consider a piece of technology that will always be relevant and up-to-date. Companies like QuickBooks and BizBox are great because they offer comprehensive solutions that help stretch your budget. This way you don’t have to spend a fortune on each freelance job.
BizBox is a multi-service business platform that supports anything from logos to finances. It is a business that changes with the needs of its customers which is incredibly valuable when thinking about long-term planning. If you are a business of 50 employees or less, it is unlikely that you have experts in all fields needed to run a business. For example, if you are thinking of revamping your website, and you don’t have staff that can complete that task, you could spend thousands depending on who you outsource to. Or you could call a company, like BizBox, who can give you a monthly flat fee without any hidden costs.
Another way to afford the latest and greatest is to partner with companies that can give you discounts on the products your business needs in order to run. For example, The National Chamber Program has a free membership for small businesses. It provides up to 55% off Office Depot products including technology; such as desktop computers, printers and more. The money you will save on office supplies can then be invested in other parts of your business that are more crucial for expansion, like a larger workforce. The program also has discounts on QuickBooks, Office 365, and credit card processing to keep your costs down.
A third great resource is the Small Business Administration. Here you have access to continual business resources at no cost. They even have tools to help build your business plan based on current market research. Additionally, they support the SCORE Business Mentor Program, which connects you with an advisor digitally or in-person. The SBA is a fantastic resource that was made to help you achieve the success of your business, so take advantage of it.
There are tons of great resources out there but sometimes it is hard to stumble upon them. If you haven’t already, join your local chamber of commerce to stay in the know about resources and discounts specific to your area. Plus, attending their networking events could connect you with individuals in the same area of expertise as you.
